Nappy Shed Terms and Conditions
The information and advice given on the Nappy Shed website expresses the opinions of Rosie Head and The Nappy Shed, and cannot be considered to be the absolute truth on any matter. Some people may disagree with information and advice posted on this website. There may be inaccuracies or omissions and some information may be out of date. The Nappy Shed cannot be held responsible if you feel that you or your family have been misled or placed at risk by anything you read on our website. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.
Nappy Trial Kits and Newborn Nappy Hire
All the nappies, bags and bucket that make up the trial kits and newborn hire kits are the property of The Nappy Shed. Trial kits can be borrowed for 4 weeks for a small administrative fee specified on the website, which can be changed without notice. The cost of Newborn Nappy Hire for a 6 week period is specified on the website. If newborn nappies are kept by the hirer for longer than the 6 week period, an additional £5 per week will be charged. Charges can be changed without notice but the price arranged at the time of original booking will be charged. All nappies hired or loaned by The Nappy Shed have been carefully washed at 60C by The Nappy Shed and are scrupulously clean. Nappies are hired or borrowed at the customer’s own risk. The Nappy Shed cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury, skin problems or sickness resulting, or perceived to be resulting, from use of any of the Nappy Trial Kits or Newborn Nappy Hire Kits. Disposable nappy liners supplied in Nappy Trial Kits and Newborn Hire Kits can be used as needed but customers are asked to return any that they have not used. The disposable nappy liners are not flushable and The Nappy Shed will not accept any responsibility for blockage of plumbing, drains or sewers caused by flusing them down the toilet. All borrowed or hired nappies must be returned clean and dry to the Nappy Shed at the end of the agreed period. The customer is responsible for returning the nappies including any postal or courier charges. The customer may be charged if all or some of the nappies are not returned at the end of a hire or loan period or if they are returned damaged or in an unusable condition.
Prices and Payment
All items remain the property of The Nappy Shed until payment has been made in full. We reserve the right to refuse to sell any goods. All goods available for immediate sale are listed in the shop section of The Nappy Shed website. All prices are inclusive of VAT on those products where VAT is applied. Prices of items do not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable on the date you place your order and which will be displayed on a page of our website before we ask you to pay. Items purchased through the website will normally be dispatched within 48 hours of purchase. Orders made through the website may be cancelled by the customer within 6 hours of purchase – after that time the order may have already been dispatched and any unwanted items will have to be returned at the customer’s expense. Occasionally, an item listed as available on our website may actually be found to be out of stock if that item has already been purchased recently by a customer coming in person to The Nappy Shed. If this happens, the online customer will be advised of the problem and an alternative product or refund may be offered if the original item is not available reasonably quickly from the wholesaler. Payment can be made via BACS or Paypal. No credit card details are stored anywhere by us at any time. While every care is taken to keep your details secure while you go through the transaction process, we cannot be held responsible for any loss you may suffer as a result of an unauthorised third party accessing your details while you place an order.
Delivery is via Royal Mail second-class postage or Hermes courier, whichever is cheaper. Parcels are delivered within 2-3 days in most cases, but Royal Mail may occasionally take much longer (up to 14 working days). This is outside of our control and, should your parcel not arrive, we cannot take any action until 14 working days have elapsed. European parcels sent via the Royal Mail service may take up to 21 working days for delivery. You have up to 30 days after dispatch of your order to inform us of any items not received. After this time it is difficult to us to trace packages and so we cannot be held responsible for any missing mail. Goods are sent at our risk until signed for by you or by any other person at the address you have given to us. We will send you a message by email to tell you when we have dispatched your order. We cannot agree with you to deliver on a particular day or at a particular time, except local deliveries. Under no circumstances can we be held liable or accountable for failed deliveries due to inaccurate address details provided to us by a customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to check details thoroughly, both at time of order and in the Order Confirmation and Despatch Confirmation emails received. In the unlikely event that any items ordered reach you faulty or damaged, we will be happy to take them back and refund your money. Note that we are unable to refund product faults more than 90 days after purchase. Instead a credit note or replacement will be issued.
In the event that a package is sent to you and taken to your local Post Office, it is your responsibility to collect the item before it is returned to us by Royal Mail or by courier. Orders returned to us as uncollected may be re-sent, but you will be responsible for the postage fees incurred. If you request a refund instead, we will happily refund you, minus the postage fees incurred in the first delivery attempt. If you place multiple orders to the same address, you remain eligible for any postage charges incurred on the orders unless you contact us at the time of ordering (by phone or email) to combine the orders into one package. We reserve the right to combine packages where appropriate. Product prices may be changed at any time without notice but you will be charged the price current when you placed the order. However, we reserve the right to cancel orders where incorrect pricing has been listed.
Returns and Refunds
If you are not pleased with any item purchased from The Nappy Shed you can return it for a refund within 30 days of placing the order. If more than 30 days have elapsed since your purchase, refund or exchange cannot be offered. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, your item must be returned unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging, where applicable. We cannot accept used or washed nappies back. Sale or clearance items, ex-trial kit and ex-demonstration nappies are non-returnable.
If however, you have a problem with nappies you have purchased from The Nappy Shed, please contact me and I can ascertain if the nappies are in any way faulty. If you think items purchased from The Nappy Shed are faulty, you may be return them to us for testing but, in the event that no manufacturing defect is present, these items will be returned to you at your cost. We reserve the right to refuse refunds where it is deemed either by us or by the product manufacturer that product misuse has occurred.
If you buy an item as part of a multibuy offer e.g. “10 for the price of 9”, or with a discount for buying certain/higher multiples and then return PART of the order, your refund will be calculated based on the items you have kept. So, for example, if you buy 10 nappies at a price of 10 for £130, when the price for an individual nappy is £14, and you decide to return one nappy, you will be refunded just £4. (£14 x 9 = £126 and £130 - £126 = £4). Similarly, if you buy 10 nappies on a “10 for the price of 9” offer and return one nappy, there will be no refund because the nappy you have returned is the free nappy.
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of your refund.

Unless your item is faulty, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Any refund or replacement made by The Nappy Shed must be to the original customer at time of purchase. If you return any item by post or courier, make sure you get a receipt or certificate of postage to show that the item was sent.
We reserve the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
