These are very soft and silky-feeling and come in a roll of 100. They are made of biodegradable PLA (polylactic acid). This is a type of plastic made from fermented plant products - corn, sugar cane etc. They are compostable in a few months in a commericial composter at 85C but will take much longer to biodegrade in a domestic composter or landfill.
Because they are a type of plastic these liners are more washable than the paper sort. You can bung dirty liners in the rubbish but the ones that have just been weed on can be washed (even at 60) and used again - they dry in a trice. If you use them two or three times before binning you'll use fewer liners, generate less rubbish and save money.
These liners are generously sized and can be cut in two for smaller babies but please do not fold liners or use multiple sheets as this will prevent quick absorption by the cloth nappy.
